We’re excited to announce a new grant to Casa Alianza, building on our relationship with the organization and our shared hope to see the adolescents they support in Mexico City thrive.
For many of the teens at Casa Alianza — young people between 12 and 18 who have experienced abandonment, trafficking, violence, or unaccompanied migration — rebuilding connection with family is one of the most complex and meaningful parts of their healing journey. This new grant funds 12 months of supervised family reintegration activities, creating safe, structured opportunities for adolescents and their caregivers to reconnect.
The Project
Casa Alianza organizes and leads each family activity, providing the support and supervision needed to make these moments feel safe for everyone involved. The impact of these activities goes beyond a single afternoon together. They strengthen emotional bonds and connections between adolescents and their families, supporting a future reintegration where possible. During this time together, the families also have the opportunity to practice empathetic communication, which can foster healthier, more stable family relationships over time.
For teens who have experienced so much instability, having a safe and supportive environment to spend time with family can be a transformative source of consistency and connection.
